Biography 
John Flynn's practice is dedicated to representing numerous clients in commercial matters, including national and state banks, insurance companies and institutional lenders. He regularly handles matters involving debtor and creditors' rights, loan workouts and other loan transactions.

In addition, John is the firm's chief counsel on matters in environmental law working with his clients to understand the sometimes significant and unanticipated implications of environmental laws on personal and business planning, business organization, real estate transactions and creditors' rights.

After a decade of service to the firm and his clients, John was elected managing director of Carruthers & Roth in 2003 and served until 2008. He also serves as a preceptor at Elon Law School mentoring future law school graduates and is an adjunct faculty member in legal writing.

John was born in Asheville, North Carolina and before joining the firm, served for two years as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Hiram H. Ward (USDC, District of North Carolina).

John and his family live in Greensboro, North Carolina.
