Biography 
With over twenty years experience, June Basden's practice covers a range of commercial transactions with a focus on commercial lending and creditors' rights. She represents banks, financial institutions and factoring companies in asset-based lending transactions, syndicated credit facilities, factoring and other transactions. June has extensive experience in loan workouts, bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Her experience extends to commercial real estate transactions. June is also a Certified Public Accountant and is one of five fellows of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers who practice law in North Carolina and serves as a Member of its Board of Regents.

June is a native of Graham, North Carolina and received her undergraduate degree with a double major in accounting and business administration, summa cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1986 where she was active in the Holderness Moot Court and was the first recipient of the J. Nelson Young Memorial Scholarship which recognizes interest in the study of taxation.

June has served as Chair of the Business Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. In the twenty year history of this section, June is only the third female business lawyer in the State to hold this prestigious position.
