"Craig is and will continue to be a real difference-maker in our community"

Biography
Craig Taylor’s practice is focused on closely held businesses, and the issues that are crucial to the entrepreneurs, investors and the professionals who own them. In particular, he has substantial experience in structuring real estate investment and ownership vehicles, especially limited liability companies; in representing early-stage enterprises seeking private investment capital; in dealing with shareholder disputes; and in providing representation and counsel to physicians, dentists and orthodontists to help them successfully manage the business aspects of their practices.

Craig maintains a balanced perspective that allows him to manage the commitments of both professional and civic projects. Craig is active in firm management, is a member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association and has recently served as President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Greensboro Bar Association. Keith Wood, business and tax attorney with Carruthers & Roth, notes, "Craig is the type of guy you'd want to be in a fox hole with. With bullets flying everywhere, he'll look you right in the eye and tell you everything is going to be just fine."

For over four years, Craig led the efforts to implement and establish a statewide "Ask a Lawyer Day," a statewide program that provides free legal assistance to North Carolina citizens. He is a graduate of Leadership Greensboro, has served on the vestry of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and is currently serving a second term on the Council of the Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Craig is also active in SynerG, the young professional's arm of Action Greensboro. "Craig is and will continue to be a real difference-maker in our community," says Scott Dillon, attorney with Carruthers & Roth. "Craig has already become more engaged than many do in a lifetime."

Craig was born and raised in Sparta, in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina. He attended Wake Forest University, where he earned a B.A. in history and graduated in the top ten of his law school class. Craig remains a devoted fan of Wake Forest athletics and enjoys spending time with his wife Anna, son Nathaniel, and daughter Linden.
