Biography
Norman Klick’s practice is dedicated to civil litigation and includes the representation of medical professionals, providing legal counsel on issues of professional liability, insurance defense, commercial disputes and other areas of civil litigation. Norman is one of the core members of the Healthcare Professionals and Practices team and the Litigation practice group.

Whether consulting with his clients on day-to-day issues, or aggressively advocating on their behalf in matters of litigation, Norman's comprehensive experience and zeal has resulted in the successful defense of numerous medical malpractice and other claims across the state in jury trials and arbitrations. He has also provided extensive risk management consultation and conflict resolution, and has handled licensing and professional disciplinary matters, including healthcare credentialing disputes. Norman has also successfully represented healthcare providers before the North Carolina Medical Board and in matters involving contractual disputes. Norman has tried, and taken to verdict, cases involving commercial, construction and other insurance defense matters. In addition to serving his clients, Norman is a member of the firm's management committee.

Norman acts as general counsel for Proehlific Park, a youth center created by former Carolina Panther and two-time Super Bowl winner Ricky Proehl. From the very beginning, Norman has acted as the primary legal counsel and assisted in the creation of the park and remains actively involved in its operation. In addition to his work with professional athletes, Norman has advised and represented other high-profile clients, including a Grammy award winning rock band and a well-known rap artist.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Norman moved to North Carolina to earn his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University where he was a “walk-on” member of the University's baseball program. He continued his studies at Wake Forest University School of Law where he graduated cum laude and received numerous scholastic awards for academic achievement and graduated in the top ten of his class. He was also an active member of the nationally recognized Wake Forest National Trial Team and Wake Forest Law Review.

Outside of the office, Norman enjoys spending time with his wife, Ann Marie, and their four children, Landon, Ryan, Evan and Tyler. Inspired by his active young sons (two of which are twins) and his own background in athletics, Norman is actively involved in coaching youth athletics. He spends much of his free time at Proehlific Park where his children are charter members.
