GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth, P.A. is proud to welcome back Kevin A. Rust to the firm’s litigation team as a director. Kevin’s practice will focus on business, appellate, and construction litigation.

Kevin previously worked for Carruthers & Roth from 2008 to 2011 as a litigation associate who handled disputes related to business and construction projects. After leaving the firm in 2011, he spent several years in private practice in Raleigh and has since then served as in-house senior counsel for Hyster-Yale Group and ACN.
During his career, Kevin has won a broad range of cases – from a multimillion-dollar personal injury suit to a unanimous decision in an action before the N.C. Supreme Court involving a sitting jurist.
Immediately after law school, Kevin clerked for the Honorable Robert Hunter on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. That opportunity gave him valuable insights into the appellate process and has made him a sought-after resource for appeals.
“We are delighted to have Kevin back on our team,” says Patrick Haywood, a senior member of Carruthers & Roth’s litigation department. “We know his unique blend of boardroom and courtroom experience will be of great benefit to our clients.”
Kevin received his J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law and his B.S., cum laude, from Ball State University. He can be reached at 336.478.1133 or via email at kar@crlaw.com.
