GREENSBORO, N.C. – Today Carruthers & Roth, P.A. announced that attorney Christopher W. Genheimer has been named a new director of the firm effective January 1, 2021.
Chris is a member of the Carruthers & Roth business, tax and estate planning practice where he focuses on helping clients form, operate, buy, sell and transition family owned or closely held businesses. In addition, he delivers advice to clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, and how to navigate the complex rules and requirements for Minority Business Enterprise status.
Before turning to law, Chris worked in research, product development and project management in the biotech industry. He has authored dozens of scientific journal articles and book chapters and is co-inventor of two patented biotech developments.
Since joining Carruthers & Roth, he has used his analytical research skills to evaluate and address each client’s unique legal needs. “Chris has a broad base of experience in both business and law that are appreciated by our clients and by his fellow attorneys,” says Chris Vaughn, managing director of Carruthers & Roth. “We value the unique capabilities he brings to our team and his contribution to those we serve.”
Chris Genheimer is a cum laude graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and earned his J.D. degree from the Elon University School of Law.
