June L. Basden Named Best Lawyers® 2014 Greensboro Banking and Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year”
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth, P.A. is pleased to announce that Director and Shareholder June L. Basden was recently named the Best Lawyers® 2014 Greensboro Banking and Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year.” (Copyright 2013 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC). Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year,” making this accolade particularly noteworthy.
June Basden is both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in commercial finance and banking law. She represents national and regional banks, financial institutions and commercial lenders in a variety of finance transactions, with a special focus on commercial lending and creditors’ rights.
June is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL) – and one of only six ACCFL fellows practicing law in North Carolina. June currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lawyers Mutual Liability Insurance Co. of North Carolina and the Board of Directors of the Triad Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA). She previously served as Chair of the Business Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of North Carolina School of Law, June has also been recognized for her professional excellence in the publications Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite and North Carolina Super Lawyers.
