GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth tax attorney Keith A. Wood presented at the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Real Property Law Section’s 2016 Hot Topics in Real Property Program on February 19, 2016. In addition, commercial real estate attorney Jeremy S. Shrader was the course co-planner for the Real Property Law Section’s full-day CLE program which took place at the NC Bar Center in Cary, N.C.
Keith presented his topic, “Real Estate Tax Update and 1031 Exchanges,” to a live audience of 150 attorneys and to more than 170 attorneys who joined via webcast. Keith’s presentation reviewed recent tax developments, including dealer vs. investor issues and the new developments in Section 1031 like-kind exchange
Jeremy, along with co-planner Kimberly A. Richards of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP, planned the full-day CLE program which featured nine speakers. The program focused on recent developments in real estate law and providing tools necessary to identify, present and resolve real estate problems that may arise at any stage of a transaction.
Keith Wood is both an attorney and CPA with a special background in taxes. He also is a board-certified specialist in estate planning and probate law.
