GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney Kenneth M. Greene has been honored as a “Top Vote-Getter” in Business North Carolina magazine’s 2012 “Legal Elite,” receiving the most votes of any North Carolina attorney in the Bankruptcy Law category.
As a top vote-getter, Greene will join Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” Hall of Fame. Additionally, he was also recognized in the category of Business Law, making him the only attorney to be recognized in both practice areas.
To compile the eleventh edition of Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite,” the magazine distributed nomination ballots to more than 20,000 active members of the North Carolina State Bar. The honorees – which make up less than three-percent of the state’s lawyers – were picked by their peers in 14 mostly business-related categories. The attorney in each category who receives the most votes in his or her respective practice area is deemed a “Top Vote-Getter” and becomes a member of the “Legal Elite” Hall of Fame.
A long-standing member of the firm’s Banking and Finance team, Greene focuses his practice on commercial finance, asset based lending, banking, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and related business law areas. He works closely with both national and regional banks, commercial lenders, finance companies and factors on legal and business issues that impact their business. Greene is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, co-chair of the Legal Opinion Committee of the Business Law Section of the North Carolina State Bar, and a member of the Association of Commercial Finance Lawyers and the Turnaround Management Association.
