Nicholas J. Bakatsias and Robert N. Young Named Directors at Carruthers & Roth, P.A.

GREENSBORO, N.C. –  Carruthers & Roth, P.A, is pleased to announce that attorneys Nicholas J. Bakatsias and Robert N. Young have been named directors at the firm, effective January 1, 2014.

Nick and Robert have demonstrated a deep knowledge of their respective practice fields, the ability to apply that knowledge in a practical manner to real life client situations, and a strong commitment to both client and community service,” said Scott Dillon, managing director of Caruthers & Roth, P.A. “We are confident that they will continue to contribute to Carruthers & Roth’s growth in the years ahead.”

Nicholas J. Bakatsias is a member of the firms’ Business, Tax & Estate practice group and focuses much of his practice on taxation – formulating tax-planning strategies and representing both individuals and businesses in state and federal tax controversies. He also works in various areas of business law, supporting mergers, acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, as well as private equity ventures and private placement transactions. Nick earned his B.S., summa cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Nick also received a LL.M. in taxation from University of Miami School of Law. 

Robert N. Young works with the firm’s Litigation department and his practice spans commercial matters, landlord-tenant matters, insurance defense, construction matters, and medical malpractice defense. He frequently joins his colleagues at Carruthers & Roth in representing physicians, physician groups and other medical professionals in negligence actions and risk management issues including HIPAA compliance. In addition to healthcare professionals, Robert’s clients include insurance companies, landlords, construction professionals, employers and employees. He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Campbell University School of Law, summa cum laude.
