June L. Basden is both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of experience in commercial finance and banking law. She represents national and regional banks, financial institutions and commercial lenders in a variety of finance transactions, with a special focus on commercial lending and creditors’ rights. June has extensive experience in asset-based lending, factoring, single-lender and syndicated credit facilities, loan workouts and modifications, foreclosures, bankruptcies and commercial real estate transactions. She received her B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1983 and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill in 1986. For 2020, June has also been recognized by Best Lawyers® for her work in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Commercial Finance Law and Commercial Transactions / UCC Law. J. Scott Dillon has a broad-based business, tax and estate planning practice, with particular emphasis on business transactions and acquisitions. He drafts, reviews and negotiates business contracts, provides counsel on business planning, and is involved in most of our firm’s larger M&A transactions. Scott earned his B.A., cum laude, from North Carolina State University in 1979 and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill in 1983. Norman has successfully defended numerous medical malpractice claims and other matters in jury trials and arbitrations across the state. He has also successfully argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and North Carolina Supreme Court. Norman received his B.A. from North Carolina State University in 1994 and his J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1997.
